Why I moved to Vegas...

1. I needed a reason to get out of D.C. not because I don't like D.C., but because I needed change in my life for multiple reasons (escaping my parents being one of them).

2. I realized my life needed progression and going back to school seemed to make sense.

3. Natalie, Niki, Adrienne - all friends from BYU and all grew up in Vegas, and they are normal and cool people. However, none of them live here now. Hmmm....I wonder if that says something.

4. I knew there were lots of mormons here, and I'm trying to get married.

5. It's close to Spencer in St. George.

6. It's closer to my good friends in Utah.

7. It's warm year round.

8. I told myself I wanted to be in a more relaxed environment and around more laid back people. I don't know if this is true now. Yes, I'm a laid back person, but I don't know HOW laid back I am.

Those were my reasons. Are they good enough reasons? I kind of ask myself this daily.

They are good reasons, for sure. But if you don't like it after all this time, then all those reasons are no longer important. Move to SF. Your dad can give you some $$ back-up for the more expensive area, particularly if you explain that there are higher-quality (and higher-earning) potential husbands there.

Sorry about the blog thing. It was private for a week and then I was so bad at tracking down the emails of friends and family to invite them that I put it back to public, just not searchable through google etc.

As for the hair, I think highlights are fun, particularly on hair colors like Jenny and Lauren. But for women like you and me with the darker tresses, they get a bit tricky. they must be very subtle and carefully done. Be sure to tell them not to do blonde highlights. You need a more caramel color. I would like to do this myself in the next few months, if I can find someone I trust won't give me a frost-job. Maybe you should go to a stylist outside Vegas.

Also, I have been meaning to ask you this for a long time. Did you make up that bit in your profile: I want my childhood back. Maybe.

I love it. You are so hilarious
