Talbots

I used to think of talbots as a mom store. But it totally isn't any more! It's darling! I think they've totally changed their target, but unfortunately they've also bumped up their price point. I'm loving the double pocket grace fit jacket below.

However, they do have things that go on super sale. I bought three sweaters the other day and spent less than $60. Two of them were less than $20! One I bought is the one below. So cute?

i agree, the white sweater is darling! but have you thought that maybe talbots always had darling things for the thirty and up crowd (appropriate for the time period, current, and in-style, just for mommy-aged gals)? the line has blurred for me between what i consider mom clothes now. my mom ALWAYS shopped at talbots, thus i have steered clear---always deeming it a mom store also---but now i'm not so sure what that means....i guess it means it's time for me to start dressing (and shopping) like a mom :)

also, why shouldn't you wear a scarf on a date? just wondering...

I loved the Help and Life of Pi. really fun. we just read an awesome book called the Poisonwood Bible for book club. I said, "what did you think of the symbol of the snake and how it represents Africa?" To which I got blank stares. I need a new bookclub. Oh, and can we trade closets? WHen can you take me shopping?

1. Very cute selections.
2. I've also wondered if it's my opinions that have changed, or the style of clothes.
3. Saw the comment about books -- Enjoyed The Help also - I just finished it. Barbara Kingsolver (she wrote Poisonwood Bible) is one of my very favorite authors!! I'd recommend any of her books. :)

@Brooke, I think you can't wear a scarf on a date, because it covers the assets -- you know, the collarbone. Isn't it a woman's prettiest feature? What was that on? I can't remember.
@Sierra, did we talk about these books? When did I mention them? But, yes, I loved The Help and am just finishing Life of Pi. I've added Poisonwood Bible to my list -- reading it in a couple months, if not sooner! I'm excited.
I love clothes. If only I had all the money in the world.
